Firefighting trench pipe fittings manufacturers talk about common pipes and accessories for fire water supply systems

This chapter introduces the commonly used pipes and accessories in fire water supply systems and summarizes their categories to help people better understand memory.
1、 Common pipeline
The manufacturers of fire trench pipe fittings believe that the commonly used pipes in fire water supply systems include ductile iron pipes, welded steel pipes, seamless steel pipes, brass pipes, stainless steel pipes, alloy pipes, and composite pipes. Plastic pipes can also be used as fire water supply pipes, but there are strict restrictions on the installation location and form.
1. Ductile iron pipe
Ductile iron pipes are mainly used for buried pipes in front of alarm valves in automatic sprinkler systems and for buried pipes in fire hydrant systems. The specifications of old graphite bead iron pipes often used in fire engineering are DN40~DN250.
2. Welded steel pipe
The manufacturer of fire trench pipe fittings believes that the welded steel pipes for the fire water supply system can be divided into ordinary welded steel pipes and hot-dip galvanized welded steel pipes.
(1) Ordinary welded steel pipes are suitable for buried pipes in fire hydrant water supply systems. The pipeline in front of the alarm valve of the sprinkler system and water spray fire extinguishing system must be equipped with a filter in front of the alarm valve. When welded steel pipes are used underground, anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out according to relevant requirements. Otherwise, it is easy to rust and affect the service life.
(2) The hot-dip galvanized welded steel pipe is applicable to the buried and overhead pipes of fire hydrant water supply system, automatic spray fire extinguishing system and water spray fire extinguishing system. Anticorrosive measures should also be considered when using in the sales area.
3. Seamless steel pipe
Seamless steel pipes are mainly divided into hot rolling and cold drawing according to their production processes. According to material, it can be divided into ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, ordinary low alloy steel, and alloy steel.
Seamless steel pipes have strong compression resistance and are often used as main pipes or pipes in parts with high working pressure at the lower part of the system in fire water supply systems.
4. Brass, stainless steel pipe, alloy pipe, and steel mesh skeleton plastic composite pipe
This pipe material is not easy to rust and has good hydraulic performance, making it suitable for fire water supply systems. However, manufacturers of fire trench pipe fittings believe that these pipes are relatively expensive and rarely used in engineering practice. In addition, please note that the wire mesh skeleton plastic composite pipe can only be used as a shopping mall.
5. Plastic pipes
Plastic pipes are rarely used in China's fire water supply systems, but many developed countries abroad allow the use of PVC-C (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) plastic pipes in some places. This type of pipe has the advantages of light weight, convenient installation, and long service life, but its mechanical properties and fire resistance are not good, and there are clear requirements for the installation location and installation form. The newly revised 2017 version of the self spraying design code has introduced this type of pipe.
2、 Firefighting trench pipe fittings manufacturers talk about common accessories
In order to meet the demand for fire water supply, fire water supply pipelines are often equipped with water supply fittings to control the size of water flow, the direction of water, and the pressure of the pipeline. The manufacturer of fire trench pipe fittings believes that typical water supply accessories include gate valves, butterfly valves, globe valves, check valves, pressure gauges, and automatic exhaust valves.
1) Gate and globe valves are on-off valves that cut off or open water flow.
2) The butterfly valve mainly serves to cut off and regulate the flow in the pipeline.
3) Check valves are valves that prevent backflow of fire water.
4) The pressure gauge is used to monitor the pressure situation at various parts of the system to ensure the safety of equipment operation.
5) The automatic exhaust valve is the highest point installed on the fire water supply pipeline, used to automatically release the gas generated by the water supply pipeline.
